SIGMA Wins 2006 Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging Award
October 16, 2006, Rochester, NY — A promotional mailing created by SIGMA Marketing Group for the Rochester, NY Chapter of Habitat for Humanity was judged among the very best at the 2006 Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging (PIXI) Awards held on October 15th in Chicago, IL.
The three-dimensional invitation mailing for Flower City Habitat for Humanity’s “Cement Mixer Gala” won second prize in the Short-Run Digital Color category, and highlighted SIGMA’s creative use of Xerox digital printing and technology. The direct mail package helped Flower City Habitat for Humanity raise more than $60,000 for its annual fundraising gala and was key in attracting a record number of sponsors to the event.
The annual PIXI Awards recognize excellence and innovation in digital printing applications. Independently judged by leading industry experts, this awards program spotlights true digital innovators — those who succeed in The New Business of Printing® by creating superior marketing and variable information communications, books, manuals and exceptional short-run materials. This program also recognizes the value and productive relationships established between clients, their creative partners and their printers. This year, over 300 entries were received from the United States, Canada, and South America.
A panel of industry experts representing key segments of the graphic arts industry in various geographies judged the entries. Judges reviewed all completed submissions and based their assessment of each entry on the degree of innovation, use of digital technology, business effectiveness and overall aesthetics.
